70 -- RENEW PERSONNET SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES SOL 95-2150-0022 DUE 092894 POC Purchasing Agent, Jody Page, 703-648-7396 The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Reston, Virginia, anticipates making a non-competitive award in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented in FAR 6.302(1) a delivery order with Information Handling Services, Inc., pursuant to the GSA Schedule, Contract No. GS00K92AGS5484 for the following Personnet subscription services (1) CD11 Personnet Complete Network. (2) CD1 Personnet Complete Stand Alone. The service provides capability for electronic access of data and operates on an IBM PC environment. The service will support at least five concurrent users each in the National Center, Reston, Virginia; Denver, Colorado; Menlo Park, California; and one user in Atlanta, Georgia, and shall include ongoing technical assistance on a call-in basis. The operational life of this service is five years and this represents the fifth year renewal. No Request For a Quotations (RFQ) will be issued. Sources capable of providing the required services, including access to authentic information required to provide this service, may submit in writing an affirmative response within 15 calendar days from the date that this notice is originally published. An affirmative response must include: Offered prices, technical references, and any additional information indicating a bona fide ability to meet this specific requirement. Information must be sufficient to complete, in full, a technical evaluation. All responsible sources may submit an affirmative response which will be fully considered by this agency. No contract award will be made on the basis of any responses to this notice because the synopsis of intent is to order against a federal contract and shall not be considered a formal solicitation document. The period of performance will be October 1, 1994 through September 30, 1995. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued.
