The US Army ARDEC intends to negotiate with Magnavox Electronics Systems Co., Fort Wayne, Indiana on a sole source basis under the approved authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 based on the fact that the requirement is available only from one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement covers the layaway of the government furnished material in a cold base storage site at Magnavox in lieu of dismantling and removal of the facility for a period of one year from date of award. Magnavox is responsible for the proper care, maintenance and utilization of the government property in their possession. Because of this responsibility, Magnavox is the only contractor that can perform this requirement. Interested vendors are invited to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting supportive documentation. This documentation must show clear and convincing evidence of the ability to provide the required service described herein. No telephone requests will be accepted. See Note 22. (0040)
