The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to negotiate with Open Connect Systems, Inc. on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpary 6.302-1, to acquire software and hardware maintenance for the following IRS-owned Open Connect Systems products: four (4) Open Connect M2030-256 Gateway servers and Open Connect M2030-256 Base Software; Open Connect Systems TN-3270 for Lan Manager for 1,000 users, and Open Connect Transfer Control Protocol (TCP) utilities (MVS) including File Transfer Protocol (FTP) for Client and Server. The required software and hardware maintenance services are not commercially available and Open Connect Systems, Inc. is the only available source. The contractor shall provide upgrades, updates, new releases, modifications to source codes, telephone customer support, access to support database and documentation including software disketts, technical manuals and, firmware throughout the term of the contract.
