This is a Market Survey to locate additional or alternate sources for Data Transfer Receptacle, NSN: 5895-01-338-7064, Rockwell Collins part number MU-1005/A and Data Transfer Cartridge, NSN: 5895-01-339-5215, Rockwell Collins part number MU-1004/A/A. The current source for the receptacle and cartridge is Rockwell Collins, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52498. Detailed technical data for the manufacture and acceptance for these units are not available from the Army. The potential supplier(s) must be capable of providing both units together as a system. Potential supplier(s) capable of furnishing alternate systems must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-RD-C2-CM-LE (Mr. Michael Chen), Ft. Monmouth, N.J. 07703-5008. Only equipment that has satisfactorily completed field testing for this application will be procured. Responses must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from the listed source, or ATCOM demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with units that will be physically and functionally changeable at the repair parts level with the items that the current source supplies for this NSN. Successful supplier(s) may be required to warrant that the items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
