Contractor is to provide all plant, labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, and performance of all operations necessary to repair the heat systems in Dormitories 318 and 320 at McConnell AFB. Work includes removal and replacement of the boiler in Dormitory 320, removal and replacement of the heating and air condition systems in Dormitories 318 and 320, all associated piping and electrical work, replacing vertical and horizontal pipe enclosures, replacing ceilings, miscellaneous patch and repair work, reinstalling lights and smoke detectors after ceilings have been replaced,replacement of the ventilation system in Dormitory 320, replacement of the hot water storage tank in Dormitory 320, and asbestos abatement. Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Anticipated issuance date for IFB Solicitation Number F14614-95-B0011 is 13 Mar 95. Tentative opening date is 12 Apr 95. Performance period will be 270 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1522. This action is being considered for 100% set-asides for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but not later than 15 days from the date of this notice. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies to this office are still requested from all interested business concerns as well as from Small Disadvantaged Business concerns. Project requirements will be made available o/a 13 Mar 95. No telephone requests for bid sets will be honored. All requests for bid sets must be in writing.
