Z -- REPAIRS LOCK AND DAM NO# 11 KENTUCKY RIVER, ESTILL COUNTY, KENTUCKY SOL DACW27-95-B-0003. DUE 032895. Contact Cynthia Farmer, 502/582-5706. The work consists of driving approximately 7,900 LF of various lengths of steel piling (PZ-27 or equivalent) along the upstream face of the dam and placing KY #2 Stone & concrete fill between the existing concrete dam and the new sheet piling; repair of the dam drawdown gete (as option 3), concrete monolith, and removal of the temporary cofferdams upstream of the drawdown gate; removing deteriorated concrete on the surface of the dam and abutments and placement of new concrete within these areas; constructing a concrete on the surface of the dam and abutments and placement of new concrete within these areas; constructing a concrete bulkhead in the lock chamber (as option 1), just down stream of the upstream mitre gates; providing and placing approximately 10,000 pound of derrick stone at the toe of dam (as option 2); some site preparation; and associated work. The approximate lengths of Dam No. 11 is 208 feet. (See Scope of Work on drawings for more detailed description of work). "This project is Subject to the Availability of Funds."
