SOLICITATION--Power Check Pad w/Suppressor, at South Dakota Air National Guard, Joe Foss Field, Sioux Falls, SD. Provide all labor, equipment and material for construction of concrete foundation and slab for Air Force jet engine sound suppressor and all electrical, water, and sanitary sewer utilities; disassemble existing suppressor and reassemble on the new foundation approximately two miles away; construct concrete approach pavement and aircraft tow way; overlay exiting tow way with asphalt concrete; construct asphalt concrete access road; demolish existing suppressor foundation, slab, and utilities; restore site to original grass condition. The relocation contractor, either the prime or subcontractor, must have satisfactory experience in at least three Air Force installations/erections of only AF37T-10 or AF37T-12 Noise Suppressor Systems and provide certification of such experience. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1771, however, this SIC does not appropriately identify work associated with the disassembly, moving, and reassembly of the sound suppressor, for which a specific SIC is not readily identifiable. Estimated cost is between $1 and $5 million. Bid documents, IFB DAHA39-95-B-0001, will be available o/a 1 March 1995.
