The tentative title for this volume is, A History of Areomedical Evacuation. this project should result in a well documented history of USAF (and predecessor organizations) aeromedical evacuation in peace and war from the standpoint of its' organization, training, operations, and technical changes. In coverage, this history will survey a seventy-five year period from approximately 1918 to 1995. The contractor selected for this project will be expected to interview key participants in aeromedical evacuation and transcribe these interviews, to identify and research all relevant information relating to the evolution of this program, and to write an unclassified, book length history of approximately 130,000 to 140,000 words, double spaced in typescript, divided among ten chapters of 13,000 words each. Because some research in classified sources is required, offerors must have a secret security clearance. The anticipated period of performance is a base year and two option years.
