The United States Army Information Systems Command intends to issue an RFP for the acquisition of two central processing units. Contractor must furnish, install, and test (FI&T) commercially available equipment compatible with existing hardware and software to perform the current function but with added capacity at two United States Army Europe (USAREUR) Data Processing Installations (DPIs). Example of current hardware and software are: Netview/ESA, Network Control Software (COS2, ACF/CP, CB1, CLSS1, CNS, etc.) a detailed listing of the software baseline will be included in the solicitation. The Contractor is required to do an on-site evaluation where the new Central Processing Units (CPU) will be installed, to determine the installation material that will be needed. Spare Parts must be available for minimum of 10 years. Evaluation will consider allowances for trade-in of existing equipment. This solicitation will be issued on or about 1 March 1995.
