66 -- DELIVER A REFINERY/LIGHT NATURAL GAS CHROMATOGRAPH FOR VNIGNI, RUSSIA SOL 8113 DUE 031595 POC Ms. Cindy Sather (703) 648-7361 (contact) Ms. Kathy Craig (703) 648-7357 (CO) The U.S. Geological Survey intends to purchase a Refinery/Light Natural Gas Chromatograph including documentation and manuals, training and a spare parts kit for the All Russian Research Geological Oil Institute (VNIGNI), Moscow, Russia. The Gas Chromatograph must have the capability (with any viable arrangement of separation columns, carrier gas arrays, backflushing schemes, multiport valving, detectors, and data handling) to produce an automated chemical composition analysis on natural or refinery gas samples including, but not limited to: saturated and unsaturated homologous organic compounds (C1-C5), sulfides, and non-hydrocarbon compounds including hydrogen, helium, nitrogen, and carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, and oxygen/argon. (Note: it is not necessary to separate oxygen from argon). Summation of all identified components plus unidentified components must be obtainable in one injection and equal 100% with a precision of 1% relative. The system must possess the ability to identify and quantify concentrations within the range of 0.1% to 99.9% of any single compound specified (except helium 0.1-5.0%) with a precision of 1% relative, provide an analog signal output and start/run contact closure output, and completely interface with the PE Nelson Turbochrom 4 GC package. Contractor shall be required to install and service the unit in Moscow, Russia. An on-site one-year warranty is required. Solicitation shall be available on or about February 24, 1995 with a closing date 35 days thereafter. Requests shall be in writing.
