217/373-7297. The US Army Construction Engineerng Research Laboratory
(USACERL) requires a High Pressure Liquid Chromatography System which
consists of a pumping system, detector, and an autosample injector; in
addition to a manual injector, and complete installation and training
services on the equipment. The gradient solvent delivery module
(pumping system) shall include a front panel display allowing real-time
monitoring of the components, storage of up to ten (10) independent
automation methods, built-in diagnostics, and a flow rate ranging from
0.01 to 10 ml in 0.01 increments. The detector (with specifications
listed at 254 nanometers (nm)) shall include uv light source of 190 to
360 nm, sensitivity range fully variable from 0.001 to 2.0 AUFS,
analog outputs - 10 millivolts full-scale for recorder and 1 volt
full-scale for integrator, various selectable display items, and shall
be controllable from the pump control center. The autosampler shall
include a sample tray with greater than 75 sample vial capacity, full
loop injection-variable from 20 to 250 microliters, and automatic wash
cycle for injection needle and loop. In addition, USACERL requires a
manual injector fitted with a 50 microliter injection loop for use
without the autosampler. The Government requires delivery and
installation of the system to Champaign, Illinois, within thirty (30)
calendar days after award of the contract, with training on the
equipment to be provided within sixty (60) days after installation. A
standard manufacturer's warranty shall be provided with the equipment.
Request for Proposal (RFP) No. DACA88-95-R-0007 will be issued on or
about 27 Feb 95 with the closing date on or about 30 Mar 95. Award will
be made to the lowest responsible offeror who demonstrates the
capability of the system to meet all requirements described in the
solicitation and provide installation and training within the delivery
schedule required by the Government. Submissions shall be in
accordance with the RFP and all qualified sources may apply. Multiple
awards will not be made under this solicitation. Requests for copies of
