99 -- SINGAPORE: POC Tel (65) 772-0917 (65) 778-2211 FAX (65) 778-0993 (65) 778-9641 8471 computers, 8524 software, s737 Computer and data processing services, s7379 Computer related services the Singapore National Computer Board (Ncb), on behalf of the National Science and technology Board (nstb), is inviting vendors to respond to the request for information on the design, Development, implementation and maintenance of the Science and technology information network (Satin) the objective of Satin is to establish an electronic information infrastructure to facilitate the dissemination of Science and technology related information to the R and D community in Singapore in the long term, Singapore intends to implement a ''network of borderless libraries'' to link all types of local and overseas libraries and information service providers Satin is expected to evolve into this National network the scope of Satin encompasses the following areas a hardware, software and network infrastructure; B accessibility to information services and contents provided by libraries, Commercial and non-Commercial informtion providers, and those available through networks such as the internet; C network management (E.G., access control and security, accounting, centralised charging mechanism and billing); D network operations.
