special notice made by Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC),
management and operating contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy
(DOE) at the Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, South Carolina, to
announce a Technology Transfer System Symposium to be held on March
14-15, 1995, in Augusta, Georgia. The conference will be hosted by WSRC
who is the prime contractor for DOE at the Savannah River Site. The
purpose of this meeting is to create partnerships with industry in the
area of technology transfer to help strengthen the national economy.
The program will highlight the Savannah River technology transfer
program, the partnering opportunities available with Savannah River and
the various technologies that are currently available for transfer from
SRS. Technologies to be displayed and demonsrated include new and
improved developments in the areas of remediation, advanced sensors,
robotics, and medical technologies in addition to a variety of other
technologies. In addition to the symposium, a tour of a potential User
Facility at Savannah River will take place and will include active
