The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), intends to solicit and award a contract on a sole source basis to Transarc Corporation for AFS 3.3 License with unlimited use of AFS software at Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), DIA sites in the National Capital Region, DIA Conus sites and DIA NonConus sites. Includes unlimited servers, clients and all currently available AFS distribution tapes. This synopsis of intent to place a contract with Transarc Corporation shall not be made on the basis of any response to this notice. All responses should reference 470/0017Z/95. Interested parties have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities to provide the supplies/services mentioned above. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competition basis. Responses received without the requested information may be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Oral communications are not acceptable to this synopsis. A determination by the Virginia Contracting Activity not to compete this proposed procurement on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this synopsis is solely within the discretion of the Virginia Contracting Activity.
