Notifying: SWEDEN. 2. Agency Responsible: The Swedish National Food
Administration. 3. Notified Under Article 2.5.2. 4. Products Covered
(HS or CCCN where applicable, otherwise National Tariff Heading. ICS
numbers may be provided in addition, where applicable): The National
Food Administration's ordinance amending the ordinance (SLV FS 1993:36)
with regulations and general advice on certain foreign substances in
food. 5. Title And Number Of Pages Of The Notified Document: Foodstuffs
of animal origin (meat, milk, egg, fish). 6. Description of Content:
The draft proposes an amendment of the swedish maximum limits for PCBS
in foodstuffs of animal origin, the proposed limits are belated to the
PCB-Congener No. 153. The PCB intake in the Nordic countries is of a
size which can influence health. The problem is connected to
consumption of fish from the Baltic Sea. 7. Objective And Rationale:
