20361-2160 58 -- ADVANCED DATA ORIENTED SECURITY MODULE (AMODSM) SPECIFICATION

Naval Air Systems Command intends to release a Full and Open
Competitive solicitation for the Advanced Message Oriented Data
Security Module (AMODSM) in February 1995. The requirement was
previously synopsized as a small business 100% set aside on 22 Dec.
1993 (N00019-94-R-0007). That solicitation has been cancelled and is
hereby resynopsized. AMODSM is a modular device that will permit
encryption of data transmissions on training ranges such as the Navy's
Tactical Aircrew Combat Training System (TACTS) and the Large Area
Tracking Range (LATR) as well as the Air Force's Air Combat Manuevering
Instrumentation (ACMI) system and the Joint Air Combat Training System
(JACTS). The Navy intends to award a contract for the Research and
Development requirements, with an option for the First Article and
production requirements. The selected contractor, in order to perform
the contract, will be required to adhere to the security requirements
of the National Security Agency. Firms possessing demonstrated
expertise and experience with design, development and manufacturing of
encryption devices should submit a request for the RFP to: Commander,
