Service (NPS), Denver Service Center, 12795 West AlamedaParkway, Post
Office Box 25287, Denver, Colorado 80225, is soliciting proposals from
qualified firms/organizations to furnish hardware, software, training
and real time Global Positioning System correction service (dGPS) for
a minimum of one year. The work will be performed in the Washington,
D.C. area. Work will include furnishing a base unit, six field
recording units, equipped with real time differential GPS system, dGPS
correction service, external magnet mount GPSantenna, GPS receiver,
customized software, and pen-based portable computer withdetachable
mount. The software in each unit shall be modified to provide input
screens for recording motor vehicle accidents in the NPS standard form
and converting the data to three individual dBaseTM files that are of
the same structure as existing NPS motor vehicle accident files. The
system shall includedigital photographic equipment compatible with the
fore described components. Also included in the system will be setup
of the base unit in a United States Park Police (USPP) command station
and installation of the field recording units2 in each of six patrol
vehicles, complete with hardware and software. On-site training shall
consist of formal instruction to USPP personnel of the complete system
and a demonstration of all aspects of the system. Services will be
provided under a firm-fixed price professional service contract. The
estimated award price of this contract will be between $25,000 to
$100,000. This solicitation is set-aside 100% for Small Business Firms.
The Standard IndustrialClassification Code for this solicitation is
7379. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 15 days
from publication of this notice. Responses must be received before 4:00
pm (Denver time) 30 calendar days from date of this publication (first
workday following week-end or holiday) in order to be considered. The
