The Monongahela National Forest anticipates contracting a Base Year and two (2) Option Years for a 3-person survey crew with vehicle and survey equipment on a per hour basis. The crew will be under the supervision of a Forest Service surveyor and will peform various surveys ranging from simple compass traversing and cross section topo data with clinometer to EDM traversing. The crew must be available for Forest Service work at least 85% of the time from award of the contract for the Base Year and for each Option Year. The projects will encompass the full range of the Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia. The offerors will be evaluated on the following factors: 1) Experience of the firm and principal(s) in performing all types of surveys in forested mountainous terrain; 2) Specific experience of the individual crewleader who will be assigned to this project and the same for a backup crewleader; 3) Specific experience of the remaining crew members and plans for backup crew members; 4) Equipment available for performance of the work; 5) Past performance on similar contracts; 6) Location within the general commuting distance of Elkins, West Virginia, i.e. approximatey 75 miles.
