66 -- MICROFOCUS REAL TIME X-RAY SYSTEM SOL 8-2-4-15-63132 POC Contact Patsy Hoffman, GP26-S, 205-544-7040/Contract Specialist, or Jane Maples, GP25-B/Contracting Officer NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for a microfocus real time x-ray system consisting of the following items -- Item 1, Chamber/Cabinet (Faxitron model 43855C or equal) -- Cabinet shall meet the following salient characteristics: Floor standing cabinet with external dimensions of 24''W x 20''L x 60''H -- Chamber dimensions to be 18''W x 16''L x 48''H -- Source to image dimensions to be 48'' max with shelf stops every four inches or less for sample position adjustment -- Controls to be easily accessible by the operator (shoulder level) -- Cable access port for cabling to sample, camera, intensifier and positioning controls -- Cabinet shall meet or exceed CFR 21 1020.40 regulations governing cabinet radiation leakage levels -- Quantity 1 each -- Item 2, Microfocus X-ray Source (Faxitron model M110 or equal) with the following salient characteristics: Energy range to be 10 KV to 110 KV continuously variable -- Tube current to be 300 micro amps min -- Focal spot size of 70 microns (micrometers) (+20 microns, -0) -- Window to be 0.03'' thick beryllium max -- Exposure timer to be 1 sec to 60 min in 1 sec increments -- Solid beam angle 30 deg -- Quantity 1 each -- Item 3, X-ray Image Intensifier (Faxitron model A1-5803-HP or equal) with the following characteristics: Minimum input field size of 100 mm -- Input voltage of 110 VAC nominal -- Overall length to be 230 mm or less -- Resolution of 7 line pairs/mm or better -- Imaging field of view 40 mm or less -- Quantity 1 each -- Item 4, Camera with Lens (Sony XC-75 1/2'' CCD camera or equal) with the following characteristics: Picture elements 768(H) x 494(V) or better -- Dimension length to be 77 mm or less -- H/V resolution 570 x 485 TV lines or better -- Lens 16 mm fixed focus -- Camera and lens to have compatible C-mounts -- Quantity 1 each -- Item 5, High Resolution Monitor (Sony model PVM 135/95 or equal) with the following features: Video system EIA 525 lines/60 fields -- Horizontal resolution of 800 lines or better -- Input BNC -- Picture tube to be 12'' diagonal or larger -- Quantity 1 each -- Item 6, Warranty of at least 12 months on parts and labor with on-site repairs -- Item 7, Installation and Training -- Vendor will install and check out system and demonstrate system performance to COTR for acceptance -- Vendor will provide one day of training for 3 to 5 NASA employees on- site -- For the above microfocus x-ray system, the system power requirements are to be 110-120 VAC, single phase, 3 wire, 60 Hz, 7 amps max with 100% duty cycle -- System magnification range is to be 1x to 20x or better -- FOB destination NASA/George C.
