10 -- INFRARED ILLUMINATOR DUE 022795 POC Mr. Jeff Campbell, FAX (703) 640-5826. The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is requesting information for an Infrared Illuminator (IR). The Illuminator shall be a Non-Developmental Item (NDI), which will require no research and/or developmental funding. The approximate size shall be equal to or smaller than the size of standard military issued flashlights. The weight shall not exceed two pounds, including the battery/s. The power supply shall be standard military available battery/s (D cell or smaller). The IR shall be capable of illuminating a target at 2000 meters. The unit shall also be able to operate after being exposed to a salt water spray, for thirty minutes. This request is for information only.
