There is an anticipated requirement for a subcontractor to provide all plant, labor, material, equipment, transporation and services to install approximately four (4) acres of concrete pavement utilizing a concrete paving machine. In addition to site preparation, the work also includes excavation for a one (1) acre detention basin, site cut and fill; installation of an underdrain collection system and storm drain; construction of a six-inch-thick aggregate base course and the construction of a 14-inch thick non-reinforced concrete pavement strip. Work also includes relocation of a portion of a road, relocation of some power lines and installation of a perimeter lighting system. Incidental items include concrete ditch paving, installation of chain link fences, seeding and sodding. The work is located at the Oak Ridge K-25 facility, Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The work is applicable to the federal Davis-Bacon Act and the selected subcontractor would be required to be signatary to the local trade union agreement with MK-Ferguson of Oak Ridge Company. The magnitude of cost is between $1 and $3 million. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 1611. The work site is located outside any restricted access area of the plant. The performance period is 150 calendar days after Notice-to-Proceed. Incentive bonuses for early finish and liquidated damages for late finish will apply. Invitations to bid are anticipated to be ready for issue by March 1, 1995 with a tentative bid due date April 1, 1995. The solicitation will not be set-aside, however, small and small disadvantaged companies are encouraged to participate.
