COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JANUARY 26,1995 PSA#1270U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE: COMPUTER USA VIDEO CATALOG SHOWCASES AT
MAJOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIRS 1995 The U.S. Department of Commerce is
organizing several USA Video Catalog Showcases in cooperation with
major international computer trade exhibitions. Due to the high success
rate of these showcases and because of popular demand, the Commerce
Department invites U.S. firms to participate in one or all of the
following computer video catalog showcases: COMDEX/ComExpo, Mexico
City, Mexico--March 7-10, 1995. INFOSYSTEMS, Warsaw, Poland--April
1995. COMPUTER FAIRE, Johannesburg, South Africa-May 2-6, 1995.
INFORMAT, Barcelona, Spain--September 12-16, 1995. COMDEX/Sucesu, Sao
Paulo, Brazil--August 15-18, 1995. If you cannot exhibit at the show,
we can repesent you! We'll showcase your products and services to
hundreds of qualified dealers, distributors and buyers at the USA
booth. This unique concept combines a traditional catalog show format
with on-site software demonstrations and video presentations. Just
provide your catalogs, disks and tapes and we'll do the rest. The
catalog showcase has proven to be a successful method of identifying
potential dealers, making sales, and testing overseas markets. It
offers an affordable and cost-effective way to enter foreign markets
without leaving your office. For fees ranging from $350 to $550 for
each show, we will exhibit and distribute your product literature, run
your software demonstration disks, and show your video tapes. Your fee
includes: valuable product/company name exposure in the local market;
bilingual & technical staff to describe your products and to exhibit
and distribute your promotional literature, disks and tapes at the
show; market research reports on the computer and hardware and software
markets in the country where the exhibition is being held; list of
local qualified dealers and purchasers expressing specific interest in
your product(s). To participate in one or more of these events, please
contact Judy A. Fogg, Project Manager, TD/Office of Computers, Rm.
