M -- OPERATION OF JOB CORPS CENTER Sol. RFP No. 95-RIV-JC-005. POC: Wilma Stone, Contract Specialist or Melvin Collins, Contracting Officer, at 404/347-3178. Request for proposals for the continued operation of the Bamberg Job Corps Center located in Bamberg, South Carolina will be available approximately Februrary 8, 1995, for issue in response to written request. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period August 1, 1995 through July 31, 1997, plus 3 governmental unilateral renewal options of one year. The approximate average capacity strength is 220 students (120 residential males, 100 residential females). Contractor will provide direct outreach/screening/placement services for a total of 400 students (of which 200 are male and 200 female). An inspection and walk-through of the facility together with a pre-proposal conference will be convened at 9:00 a.m., local time on February 17, 1995 at Bamberg Job Corps Center. Upon entering the facility, tour particpants must report and register at the Job Corps Center's Administration/Security Building. The contractor shall provide Academic and Vocational Training, operate a Counseling and Residential Living Program, and operate the following support services: Health Services, Processing of Student Records, Discipline System, Clothing Issue, Mail Services and Legal Services. The contractor will also provide overall Center Management and Administration as follows: Contract and Personnel Administration, Staff Training, Financial Management, Procurement and Property Management, Facility Operations and Maintenance, Security and Safety Services, Community Relations and Public Information. All questions prior to the Pre-Proposal Conference should be submitted in writing. Interested offerors should limit their attendance to no more than three persons. Proposals in response to this RFP will be due no later than 2:00 p.m., local time on March 20, 1995 at the address listed above.
