UPGRADES SOL 95-5 DUE 032995 POC Katrina James, Contract Specialist,
301/594-7730. The NIH, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and
Kidney Diseases has a requirement for a High Field Resolution NMR

superconducting magnet with a field of at least 17.6 Tesla (750 MHz 1H
frequency). Except for their operating frequency, the specifications
for the console upgrades, to replace two Government-owned Bruker
AMX-500 consoles, are identical to those for the 17.6 Tesla system.
Also, quotes are being accepted for several optional pieces of
equipment. (1) upgrades of two Government-owned Bruker DMX-600
spectrometer and one Government-owned Bruker DMX-500 spectrometer to
made these instruments also fully compatible with the 17.6 Telsa
system; (2) a solid state NMR spectrometer with either a 9.4 Tesla (400
MHz) or a 8.5 Tesla (360 MHz) magnet; and (3) a single axis pulsed
field gradient triple resonance probehead for operation at 750 or 800
MHz 1H frequency. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available
approximately fifteen calendar days from publication of this
