Correction: This contract work consists of, but is not limited to, a base bid to include the placement of approximately 800,000 cubic yards of beachfill between 1st and 36th Street, in Ocean City, New Jersey. The extension of 10 storm sewer outfall pipes is also included under the base bid. The contract work also consists of three separate options (options 1, 2 and 3, respectively), to place an additional 200,000 cubic yards of beachfill for each of the options awarded. The borrow area for beachfill material for the base bid and Options 1, 2 and 3 is located approximately 5000 feet offshore, northeast of the project location, east of the Great Egg Harbor Inlet. The contract work also consists of an option (Option 4) to place approximately 500,000 cubic yards of beachfill along the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey from 36th to 60th Street. The borrow area for the beachfill material for Option 4 is located approximately 2.5 miles offshore northeast of Corson's Inlet. Option 4 also includes cutting to one foot below existing grade 15 timber pile groins, and the removal of approximately 315 cubic years of reinforced concrete from an existing building foundation located on the beach.
