301/496-4611/Contracting Officer. The National Institute of Child
Health and Human Development (NICHD) plans to expand the ongoing
Hemophilia Growth and Development Study (HGDS) to incorporate the
collection of two additional data points from the current study
participants, i.e., collect data for follow-ons #11 and #12. The
determination to use other than full and open competition was made in
accordance with 41 USC 253(c)(1) and the FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). It is
proposed that this work will be accomplished by the New England
Research Institute, Inc., proposed that this work will be accomplished
by the New England Research, inc., the incumbent contractor the HGDS.
The proposed source, by virtue of their prior experience with and
development of the systems and protocols for data collection and
analyses for the HGDS, plus the collaborations with a specific cohort
and specific clincial sites throughout the US for the data collection,
will best be able to continue the required tasks associated with the
follow-on testing. The purpose of this synopsis is to determine whether
there are other sources with the requisite qualifications to perform
the work described above. Capability statements should be brief and
must be submitted within 45 days of the publications of this synopsis.
