Networked Integrated Logistics Support System (NILSS) which shall provide desktop access to logistics databases via the Tobyhanna Army Depot Local Area Network (LAN) which utilizes TCP/IP via an Ethernet LAN consisting of Unisys 5000 minicomputer systems (NET 5000), personal computers networked via Banyan VINES 5.52 (PC/TCP), and a TCP/IP gateway using a RISC 6000 through an IBM 3725 to an Amdahl 5880 mainframe -- System shall have interactive search capabilities for each characteristic and parameter and/or a combination of characteristics and parameters -- system shall be menu driven with on-line help available -- Core database of NILSS shall be able to provide the manufacturer's part number, national stock number, source of supply and alternate sources of supply, costing information and technical charascteristics of items contained in the following United States Government Databases: Master Cross Reference List (MCRL) and Total Item Record (TIR); Management List-Consolidated (ML-C); H6 Federal Item Name Directory; H2 Federal Supply Classification (FSC); Commercial Activity and Government Entity (CAGE) Integrated Logistics (ILs) Techncial Characteristics; Procurement History; Department of Defense Interchangeable and Substitutable (DODIS); Army Master Data File (AMDF) -- core database shall be individually searchable by index item and a combination of index items specific to that data -- search capability of core database must include the ability to sort the MCRL file by company name with respect to part records -- parametric searching of core database by techncial characteristics required -- batch searching of core databases by part number, National Item Identification Number or combination of part numbers and cage codes from a keyboard and download the results to a printer or disk -- system shall have the ability to cross search and report on all core databases -- NILSS shall have a DOD Standards database which will provide quick full text access of the following databases; Military/Federal Specifications and Standards; Military/Federal Qualified Products Lists (QPL's); MIlitary Handbooks and Bulletins; MS drawings; Air Force-Navy Aeronautical Design Standards (AND); Army-Navy Aeronautical Bulletins (ANA); Air Force-Navy Aeronautical Design Standards (AN) drawings; DOD directives; DOD adopted industry standards; United States Air Force (USAF/NAF) standards; Data Item Descriptions (DIDs); Commercial Item Descriptions; Joint Army-Navy Specifications -- DOD Standards Database shall have the capability to provide the following: document summary reports of document content; cross references to applicable or referenced documents, DIDs and specifications; zoom capability for small type and detailed drawings shall also be included; scanned documents at 300 dpi per MIL-R-28002; rotate charts and tables for viewing; print actual and/or enlarged size copies -- searching of DOD Standards database by keywords, document number, federal supply class and subject index and page specific searching -- NILSS shall contain the following indexes: a comprehensive index of industry related commercial vendor catalogs searchable by part number, characteristics, function and company; a comprehensive index of Integrated Circuit/Discrete components searchable by part number, characteristics, functions and company; a comprehensive index of commercial industry standards searchable by document, keyword and society -- information to be provided on CDrom -- delivery and installation no later than 60 days after award date -- training of Government personnel on-site at Tobyhanna Army Depot -- site licence for up to 24 concurrent users -- on-site maintenance for a base year with the option to extend up to an additional five one year periods; maintenance to include updates of core database, DOD Standards Database and Indexes a minimum of every sixty days, guaranteed system uptime, and toll free customer service and assistance hot line -- DAAC71-95-R-0008 applies -- approximate issue/close dates are 15 Feb 95/15 Mar 95 -- all responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency (0020)
