Demolition of Buildings at New Exchange Site, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. The proposed project is a 100 percent set-aside for small disadvantaged business conerns (SDB). The work consists of demolishing 12 buildings and 2 vehicular concrete wash racks, including removal of concrete floor slabs and footings, associated concrete and asphaltic-concrete pavements, chain-link fencing/gates and concrete footings, all trees and shrubs, surface soil immediately around buildings painted with lead-based paint, disposal demolished and removed materials and filling to grade of depressions left after foundations/footings removal. For buildings with transite sidings, sidings are to be removed prior to general demolition, double bagged and disposed of at an authorized landfill. Asbestos containing floor tile demolished with the floor slab and lead-based paint coatings demolished with the substrate materials are to be disposed of as ordinary debris. Air monitoring will be required during demolition work. The estimated cost of the proposed project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Solicitation to be issued O/A February 3, 1995. Documents to be available at $25.00 per set of specifications and full-size drawings. Checks and money orders to be made payable to the U.S. Army Engineer Division, Pacific Ocean and mailed to Finance and Accounting Officer, U.S. Army Engineer Division, Pacific Ocean, Fort Shafter, HI 96858-5440, or handcarried to Room 115, Bldg 200, Fort Shafter, HI. Payment will not be refunded and specifications and drawings need not be returned. See Note 4. (0019)
