furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, utilities, water and
fuel supply, vehicular transportation, manifests, certificates,
licenses, permits, soil boring and all necessary incidental services
required to meet all Federal, State, and local requirements to
close-in-place, remove, dismantle, temporarily store, purge, clean,
haul, and dispose of eight underground and above ground storage tanks,
tank contents, and ancillary equipment. The project involves three
above-ground storage tanks (1-1000 gal., 2-4000 gal.) and five
underground storage tanks (2-1000 gal., 2-1500 gal., 1-5000 gal.). Two
of the underground storage tanks (2-1500 gal.) will be close-in-place
and three will be removed. All above-ground tanks will be removed. The
project also includes the restoration of all sites to original lines
and grades. Additional remediation, on a limited basis, at the site may
also be required if soil and/or groundwater contamination is detected
during the removal of the tanks appurtenance. The Contractor shall be
an authorized Florida Pollutant Storage System Specialty Contractor
(PSSSC) licensed by the Florida Department of Professional regulation
(FDPR). All subcontractors or individuals performing soil and
groundwater sampling must have an approved generic quality assurance
plan on file with the Florida Department of Environmental protection
(FDEP). In addition, only laboratories that have a generic quality
assurance plan approved by FDEP may be used to analyze soil and
groundwater samples. LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION PROOF REQUIRED WITHIN
5 DAYS AFTER BID OPENING. Magnitude of construction is between
$100,000 to $250,000. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or
about 19 Jan 95. Invitation DACA17-95-B-0022 will be issued on or about
10 Feb 95 and opened on or about 28 Mar 95. Cost of Plans and
Specifications is $40.00. (Non-Refundable) Checks should be made
payable to F & A Mobile District, and sent to U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, Jacksonville, Florida. Request for plan holders list should
