Contracting Officer 919/541-0415 The purpose of this contract is to
provide a resource to the NTP, NIEHS, for chemical procurement and
synthesis, bulk chemical characterization, dose formulation and
analysis. Other special analytical services needed include studies to
determine internal dose which will involve dosing a small number of
animals and subsequent analysis for test article or metabolites in
tissue and biological fluids. Up to three contract awards may be made
with only one award permitted per Contractor. The awards will consist
of a base contract and three options. The estimated level of effort for
each contract award is 37,130 direct labor hours for the base contract,
145.7 hours for Option 1 - Additional Bulk Chemical Procurement,
9,719.6 for Option 2 - Chemistry Support for the AIDS Program, and
12,220 for Option 3 - Additional Non-AIDS Support. It is expected that
each contract will be awarded by September 1, 1995 with the chemistry
services to be provided through August 31, 2000. Expected release date
of the RFP is February 8, 1995. Interested organizations should request
either a streamlined or full RFP package. If no selection is made, a
streamlined version of the RFP will be provided, which includes only
the Statement of Work, deliverable and reporting requirements, special
requirements and mandatory qualifications, if any, and technical
evaluation criteria. After examination of these documents, any
organization interested in responding to this RFP must request the
entire RFP in writing or by telephone (919) 541-0419 or by FAX request
(919) 541-2712. This is an unrestricted competition. All responsible
sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
