COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JANUARY 20,1995 PSA#1266NASA, Johnson Space Center, BE2, Houston, TX 66 -- CHARGE AMPLIFIER MODULE SOL 9BE33G27510P DUE 012695 POC WENDY
BOUDREAUX, Tel:713-483-5338 Contracting Officer:LISA REA,
Tel:713-483-8395 NASA is seeking thirty-two Charge Amplifier Modules to
expand the existing Signal Conditioning System in the Vibration and
Acoustic Test Facility from 224 channels to 256 channels. The existing
signal conditioning system consists of Syminex SX500 programmable
signal conditioning modules. The thirty-two new charge amplifier
modules must be 100 percent compatible to the existing charge amplifier
modules and the in-house programming commands to set up the
configuration condition during data acquisition. The chassis housing
for the new charge amplifier modules must be a standard 19-inch rack
mounting and must be capable of accommodating the existing Syminex
Charge Amplifier, Strain Gage Amplifier, and Integral Electronic
Sensor/ Voltage Conditioner modules which can be mixed in a single
chassis housing. The chassis must have a built-in control interface
that allows all the modules to be commanded through the existing
Syminex hand held controller or the existing personal computer in-house
developed software through an RS-232 connector. The chassis holds
sixteen modules and must be interchangeable with the existing Syminex
chassis. It must be able to connect the external calibration signal and
the current source power supply for the Integral Electronic Sensor. The
charge amplifier modules must include the Integral Electronic Sensor/
Voltage Conditioner which can be selected from the existing hand held
controller or existing PC computer software commands. They must include
a programmable T-insert voltage for calibration. Charge input range
must be 0.1 mV/pC to 1000 mV/pC with source resistance greater than 40
M-ohms. Voltage input must be +/-10V-Peak and at lease +/-30V-peak
without damage. The charge mode must be able to set the sensitivity of
the sensor and gain steps separately. The gain steps must be in a 10dB
increment. The noise level must be less than 0.2mV-peak. The output
voltage must be +/-10 V-peak linear. The frequency response must be 0.5
Hz to 100 KHz at -3dB. The modules must include overload indicators and
be capable of being reset by controller or software. All the
configuration settings must be saved in the module even in storage
without the power supply. These charge amplifier modules must be
interchangeable with the existing modules. --SMF07-A1-A6, ''Or Equal''
