(801) 524-6941 The Bureau of Reclamation is requesting Standard Forms
254 and 255 from qualified firms for technical and professional
surveying services. The resulting contract will be an indefinite
quantity contract with the period of performance 1 year with two
one-year option periods. The Contractor must have in its employ a
Colorado registered professional land surveyor (PLS). The surveying
needs include, but are not limited to, surveys for alignments,
structures and land acquisitions. The survey work associated with
alignments and structures will primarily be located in southwest
Colorado and northwest New Mexico. The survey work associated with land
surveys will be located in the Colorado counties of Archuleta, Dolores,
La Plata, Montezuma and San Juan. The contractor shall supply all
materials, supplies, and consumables necessary for accomplishing the
work. The contractor shall also provide the required survey crew and
vehicle(s) to gather field data for writing legal descriptions;
preparing plats and drawings; and establishing, locating, monumenting,
staking, flagging or otherwise identifying physical points on the
ground. The SIC code for these services is 8713. Potential contractors
will be evaluated in accordance with the factors listed in the Federal
Acquisition Regulation Part 36.602-1: 1) Professional qualifications
necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; 2)
specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work
required; 3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time
frame; 4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and
private industry in terms of costs control, quality of work, and
compliance with performance schedule; 5) Location in the general
geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the
project. In addition, the selection criteria listed in the Department
of Interior Acquisition Requisition Part 1436.602-1 will also be used:
1) Computer assisted design capability and capacity; 2) Adequacy of
facilities for performance of the work; 3) Volume and nature of present
workload; 4) Experience and qualifications of proposed key personnel,
5) Availability of additional contractor personnel or consultants.
Standard Forms 254 and 255 are due by 4 pm on February 22, 1995. THIS
