(703)604-0903 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to add
additional requirements to a recently exercised option, for Contractor
Logistics Support including assistance in DS and Echelon maintenance,
data, upgrade of the hardware and software to latest configuration,
extend period for depot capability, additional maintenance reporting,
serve as interim Inventory Control Point, additional analysis,
logistics support for Phase I Systems, a trade study, refurbishment of
hardware after testing, on site maintenance supply, and transparent
support, transportation, deployment capability, standardization
instructor, tracking system, logistics demonstration support, system
support package, calibration system, load plans and certified
instructors. NAVAIR intends to negotiate this procurement of additional
requirements with TRW (Mead), Avionics and Surveillance Group, One
Rancho Carmel, San Diego, CA 92128. TRW, Inc, along with their major
subcontractor Israel Aircraft Industries LTD, is the designer,
developer, and sole manufacturer of the Short Range System and the only
known firm with the necessary knowlege, data, equipment, facilities and
experience to perform this effort within the required timeframe. See
