The carpet floor covering will consist of the following: Stratton Commercial Carpet, Chameleon Style, Patterned Loop, Part Number 60165-65870 ''Plantation Rose''. This brand name is used to establish the color, pattern and general quality of product desired. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. This acquisition is for a product in a class for which the Small Business Administration has issued a Nonmanufacturer Rule Waiver. Thereby, this allows a Small Business Regular Dealer to furnish a product by other than a small business concern. The Standard Industrial Code is 2273, the small business size standard for which is 500 employees. When responding to this synopsis all interested firms are requested to submit descriptive literature, including but not limited to a sample measuring a minimum of eight (8'') by eight (8''), type of construction, face weights and density of the yarn and backing and must meet or exceed the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standard 795, 4.5.3, 1988. Written certification by an independent UL approved laboratory of all carpet specifications must be submitted. The Government will review all submitted literature to determine the firms that meet the requirements set forth by the Government for new floor covering installed at Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex, AL.
