Swizewski, (215)897-5504 The FISC Norfolk Det Philadelphia intends to procure Upgrades to Microsoft Office for Windows (MS Office) and Microsoft's FoxPro for Windows. The proposed requirement is to Upgrade the Existing Office Automation Software currently installed on the Norfolk Naval Shipyard's LAN. The currently installed version of Microsoft Office for Windows is version 2.0 which includes Word 2.0, Excel 4.0 and Power Point 3.0. The upgraded version of MS Office required is version 4.2 which includes Word 6.0, Excel 5.0 and Power Point 4.0. The currently installed version of FoxPro for Windows is version 2.5 and the upgrade required is version 2.6. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on an other than full and open competitive, brand name mandatory basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 with Microsoft Corporation and authorized dealers of Microsoft Software products. The Microsoft Software products are the only products that can be utilized for this upgrade. Moreover, Microsoft Corporation and authorized dealers of Microsoft Software products are the only sources that can provide the required upgrades.
