The work shall consist of river bank clearing and grubbing; excavation/sloping; and riprap placement along a section of the river adjacent to the golf course. All excavation and stone replacement will be performed by barge/floating plant. Excavation will be necessary for removal of unstable materials and shaping of the existing bank. Only minimal land access will be allowed throughout the duration of the project. The base bid for the project will contain approximately 2,500 lineal feet of riverbank protection with an option for up to 600 lineal feet of additional riverbank to be protected. Riverbank heights to be protected may range from 20 to 35 feet above the pool elevations. Some underwater excavation with placement of stone shall be anticipated. The principal features of work include, but not limited to: clearing and grubbing; excavation; and stone placement. Duration of the job is 120 days after receipt of a signed contract and is estimated to be in the $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 range.
