Y -- PURCHASE AND FABRICATE STRUCTURAL STEEL SOL GS-09P-95-KTC-0024 DUE 022895 POC Contact,Beverly Chin,415/744-5665 The Contractor is to purchase and fabricate structural steel for the New United States Courthouse and Federal Building between 5th, 6th, ''H'', and ''I'' Streets, Sacramento, California. The U. S. Courthouse and Federal Building consists of a sixteen story structure (Building ''A''), and a four story structure (Building B) over two levels of below-grade parking. The proposed structure consists of approximately 820,000 gross square feet, or 750,000 square feet excluding roof areas. The building will be constructed over a clear site of approximately 125,000 square feet. The structural steel frame is steel wide flange columns and beams, heavy steel box columns, and moment resisting frames. As an option that may be exercised by the Government, provide for erection of the steel frame. The total contract may then be assignable to a general contractor in accordance with the terms and conditions provided in the bid documents. The estimated cost range is $10,000,000.00 - $15,000,000.00. The contract period from award through completion of erection is approximately 335 calendar days which consists of engineering, fabrication, and erection. This procurement is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competititveness Demonstration Program. Even though this procurement is open to large businesses, small and minority businesses are encouraged to participate. The solicitation package will be available on or about January 27, 1995. A limited number of solicitation packages will be available and will be issued on a first come first serve basis.
