the construction of three separate facilities. The first facility is a
two-story 21,700 sq.ft. Base Engineering Maintenance Facility used for
the following functions: wood and metal fabrication shops, warehouse
storage, classrooms and administration space. The Engineering Facility
site includes an access road, a parking lot, a fenced storage yard and
the main facility. The facility will be a slab on grade with concrete
masonry unit (CMU) block walls and a built up roof. The center two-
story portion of the structure will use a curtain-wall system
consisting of aluminum panels and spandrel glass. All interior
electrical, mechanical systems, and exterior utility lines are
included. Demolition of a small concrete walled munitions storage
building is included at the Engineering facility site. Facilities two
and three are a 1920 SF munitions cold storage facility and a 560 sf
munitions inspection facility. Both facilities will be slab on grade
with CMU block walls and a built up roof. Magnitude of construction is
$1,000,000 - $5,000,000. Standard Industrial classification code is
1541. Location of site is Kulis Air National Guard Base, Anchorage,
Alaska. Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment,
transportation and services to successfully complete the project. DOD
Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement Clause 252.222-7000
Restriction on Employment of Personnel (Dec 1991) will be incorporated
into the solicitation and any resultant contract. The clause reads:
(a) The Contractor shall employ, for the purposes of performing that
portion of the contract work in the State of Alaska, individuals who
are residents of the State, and who, in the case of any craft or trade,
possess or would be able to acquire promptly the necessary skills to
perform the contract (b) The Contractor agrees to insert the substance
of this clause, including this paragraph (b), in each subcontract.
This solicitation is unrestricted and available for full and open
competition. The invitation to bid is expected to be available on or
about 30 January 1995 with an anticipated bid opening date of 1 March
1995. Bid packages will be distributed on a first come, first served
basis until supply is exhausted. There is a $125.00 non-refundable
charge for each set of plans and specifications. Only written requests
accompanied by a check or money order (no cash will be accepted) in
the proper amount, payable to the U. S. Treasury will be honored. Send
