Sauceda, Contracting Officer, 914-239-6251 (Site Code DAKF19) Fort Riley, Kansas is seeking potential source(s) that can operate and manage the Fort Riley Installation Library. The library is considered a general public library. Interested parties would be responsible for the management of the facility all property and supervision of staff. At this time there are two professional librarians, two library technicians and two library aides. Property consists of 32,000 items including books, videos, books on tape, magazines, newspapers and language kits. At the current time there are approximately 7,700 registered patrons. The library is open a minimum of 44 hours per week including evenings, holidays and weekend hours. Duties include: selecting and purchasing materials based on patron needs; knowledge of Dept of Army (DA) and Fort Riley purchasing regulations; administering the receipt of materials from the DA book program; providing inventory and statistical reports; maintaining a balanced, up-to-date collection; professional cataloging and classification of library materials, voucher file and accountability, property stamping, labelling and preparing materials for check-out; obtaining materials for the interlibrary loan program; and providing programs i.e., story times, open houses and adult programs.
