SYNOPSIS NO.: 0001-95. A. Future Very Short Range Air Defense
System/Short Range Air Defense Systems (VSHORADS/SHORADS) Feasibility
Study. Reference: CBD, Section A, Page 1, ''NATO Feasibility Study
Industry Briefing.'' The NATO Joint Project Group (JPG) 28/30
Feasibility Study Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was recently signed
by the National Armament Director's of France, Germany, Italy,
Netherlands, Norway, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States,
thereby authorizing the Eigth Nation Activity which will undertake the
VSHORADS/SHORADS Feasibility Study. The final feasibility study
Request for Proposal (RFP), which incorporates industry comments, is
scheduled to be released to industry on or about 26 January 1995. Any
United States corporation which is interested in joining with industry
from MOU signature nations to form an International Consortium and bid
as a prime contractor should make its intentions known to the United
Kingbom's (UK) management office not later than 13 January 1995. The UK
Management Office address and requried information follows: 1. Mr.

by the prespective prime contractor: Name and address of the prime
contractor; prime contractor point of contact; telephone and fax
number. Also provided company name, address, telephone/fax number and
the name of the point of contact for each of the consortium
subcontractors; security clearance and cage code for US prime and
subcontractors. US Industry which previously registered as a prime
contractor with the management office or are registered as a US
subcontractor to an International Consortium need not respond. The UK
Ministry of Defense, the Contracting Authority for this procurement,
has limited the distribution of the RFP to only those prime and
subcontractors registered with the management office. The Feasibility
Study RFP will be released to management office registered US Prime and
Subcontractors on/about 1000 hours, 26 January 1995 by the US Principal
Representative to the future VSHORADS/SHORADS Steering Committee
(Previously JPG 28/30 on VSHORADS/SHORADS) as directed by the UK
Ministry of Defense Contracting Officer. Any questions that arise as a
