Jacksonville requires an Indefinite Quantity contract for the
remanufacturing of CDP seals. These CDP seals are a component of the
TF34 engine used on the A-10 aircraft. The engine was originally
manufactured by General Electric. The rework of the CDP seals consist
of cleaning, inspecting, removal/replacement of honeycomb, machining,
and post repair inspecting services. The requirement is for an
estimated quantity of 133 CDP seals . The CDP seal housings will be
provided to the contractor on an estimated monthly rate of 15 each. The
requirement is for a base year with two (2) option years. This
procurement will be limited to six (6) potential sources who have been
certified by General Electric, Air Force and the Navy. Due to the time
constraints, additional certifications will not be conducted for this
procurement. However, if a vendor is interested in being certified for
future rework requirements they may do so. To be a certified source
for this rework, the certification process consists of (1) Notification
to the Air Logistics Command, San Antonio, Texas of the interested
vendor; (2) Vendor shall comply with General Electric technical drawing
6037 T 40 5023 T 74; (3) Prior to performing the rework on the CDP seal
an on-site survey of the vendor's plant would be conducted by the Navy
and/or the Air Force; (4) After completion of the rework, an on-site
survey would again be conducted to ensure component rework is in full
compliance of the General Electric technical drawing before
certification of an approved source. All interested sources may submit
a request for the solicitation. All requests shall be in writing or
