The contract work consists of dredging to a required depth of 16 feet plus 1 foot required overdepth plus 1 foot allowable overdepth in the Salem River adjacent to the City of Salem, New Jersey. Estimated dredging quantity including required overdepth plus allowable overdepth is 800,000 cubic yards. Government furnished Reedy Point South Disposal Area is available for the contract work. Contract work will be subject to seasonal time restrictions which prohibits dredging during certain periods of the year. Specifications and 1/2 size drawings will be furnished at a charge of $7.00 per set. Issue date for plans and specifications is on or about 27 January 1995 with a bid opening date of 1 March 1995 at 11:00 a.m. Completion time for the project is 270 calendar days. All checks are to be made payable to ``FAO, USAED, NEW ENGLAND''. Payment will not be refunded and specifications need not be returned. Estimated cost range of the project: $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Award of the contract will be made as a whole to one bidder. Liquidated damages will be specified.
