V -- TRANSPORTATION OF FORT BELVOIR PERSONNEL FROM MARYLAND AND VIRGINIA SUBURBS SOL DACH35-CBD1-0001 due 013195. POC Contracting Officer, Patricia J. The U.S. Army Directorate of Contracting along with the Directorate of Logistics at Fort Belvoir is conducting a Market Survey for Commuter Busses. There is a need for commuter busses to carry Fort Belvoir employees between the suburbs of Maryland and Virginia to and from Fort Belvoir. The Directorate of Logistics would like to perform a test of at least two morning commuter busses (one early run and one later run), and likewise for the evening return. The length of the test period will be determined by Fort Belvoir's Transportation Coordinator and each bus company. The Directorate of Logistics would prefer large busses that could accommodate a minimum of 44 passengers each. After the test period, a reevaluation would be performed to determine whether the route should be continued indefinitely or abolished, etc. Advertising for the availability of these busses will be done by each bus company and Fort Belvoir. A list of proposed bus stops on Fort Belvoir, and a random survey of working hours will be provided upon request.
