(202)927-0352 U.S. Customs Service anticipates issuing a solicitation
on or about January 31, 1995 (with closing 30 days after issuance) in
support of the Customs Service Broadcast System (Distance Learning) for
interconnect/uplink/satellite airtime (Ku and C Band). The U S Customs
Service Broadcast System has over 75 downlink sites (including Alaska,
Hawaii, the Caribbean) and three broadcast facilities (Indianapolis,
Indiana; Glynco, Georgia; and Headquarters, Washington, D.C.). The
contractor shall be a satellite broker (identified as owning or leasing
a satellite transponder(s) and having complete control of the satellite
transponder(s)) and have Ku and C Band capabilities. These are
mandatory requirements. The contract will be for a base period with
four one year options available. This acquisition is 100% small
business set-aside with a SIC of 4841. All request for the solicitation
