The National Institute of Dental Research (NIDR) has a requirement for a state-licensed laboratory or a laboratory certified under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988 (CLIA) capable of processing thousands of serum samples for antibodies to periodontal pathogens, including the capability of receiving and transporting the samples. The objective of this study is to determine the occurence of elevated serum antibodies to periodontal pathogens in a sample of persons examined in the Third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES III). Serum from the NHANES III subjects has already been collected, frozen and stored for futher analysis. The serum must be assayed by ELISA procedures. All requests MUST be submitted in writing; verbal requests will not be accepted. (005)
