70 -- MAINTENANCE OF UNINTERUPTABLE POWER SYSTEMS (UPS) SOL F41691-95-R-0013. POC Donna VanGilder tel: 210/652-5187/Kathy J. Williams. 12 CONS/LGCX, Randolph AFB, TX 78150, proposes to solicit maintenance of Government-Owned uninteruptable power systems (UPS) located in Building 499, A and E Wings, Randolph AFB TX, for a basic performance period plus four option years. Prospective contractors will need to provide On-Call and quarterly preventive maintenance on two (2) UPS systems. The description of these two (2) types of maintenance are as follows: (1) Preventive Maintenance (PM) is defined as diagnostic maintenance performed tri-monthly (quarterly) to keep system in good operation condition at prearranged times and specific intervals and performed at the Government's site. (2) On-Call Maintenance is defined as maintenance performed as needed to keep system operational and as often as needed during the Principal Period of Maintenance (PPM) hours of 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Government will call contractor when system malfunctions. At notificaton of maintenance problems, contractor should be able to respond to the requesting site as follows: (1) On-Call maintenance within six (6) hours and (2) Preventive Maintenance scheduled on a quarterly basis. The systems requiring maintenance include the following: Series 3000 Exide Power Modules (6 ea), three (3) Model 3450 and three (3) Model 3600; Exide UPS Batteries (564 ea) and power connections associated with UPS are ITE Siemens switchgear to include circuit breakers, bussduct terminations and measuring devices. This RFP will be solicited on an unrestrictive basis. The applicable standard industrial classificaton (SIC) number is 7378. All responsible sources requesting a solicitation shall be made in writing or by Facsimile (210)652-4673 within 30 days of publication of this notice. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
