Johnson, 304/480-6465 The Bureau of the Public Debt intends to acquire, on a sole-source basis through Recognition Equipment International (REI) of P. O. Box 660204, Mail Station 82, Dallas, Texas, 75266-0204, the following mechanical, electrical, preventative, and software maintenance/repair for the Recognition International Tartan Data Entry System. Maintenance/repair coverage shall be 7:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, except federal holidays. Work requests via telephone, with a four (4) hour response time and an eight (8) hour repair time. Maintenance/repair shall occur for the Bureau of the Public Debt at 200 Third Street and 110 Park Center, Parkersburg, West Virginia. The Contractor shall supply all equipment, tools, parts, supplies, travel, and personnel required for job assignments. No equipment shall be removed from the site for more than five (5) days. The use of Downtime Credits shall be employed. All affirmative responses shall be in writing and shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show competence and compliance to all of the above requirements. If no affirmative response is received within 15 days after publication of this notice identifying comparable services is/are available and more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these services from REI, a sole-source award shall be made.
