Siney, Phone (703)604-0757 The NAVY intends to negotiate with Northrop Corporation, Aircraft Division, One Northrop Ave., Hawthorne CA, 90250, for the FY96 requirement of approximately 65 BQM-74E radio controlled aerial target drones, associated system safety program, quality assurance program, reliability program, interim spares and support equipment, technical data, and approximately 150 Yaw Rate Gyro kits, 35 Radar Altimeter kits, 60 Air Launch kits. Additionally, an option for the FY97 requirement will be negotiated for approximately 120 BQM-74E radio controlled aerial target drones, associated system safety program, quality assurance program, reliability program, technical data and approximately 65 Yaw Rate Gyro kits, 51 Radar Altimeter kits, and 48 Air Launch kits. In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Northrop Corporation, Aircraft Division is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the BQM-74E Aerial Target system and is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical data necessary to meet the NAVY's requirements within the required timeframe.
