The project consists of furnishing plant, material, labor, equipment, supplies and performing all operatons in connection Alter/Repair Fire Station, Bldg 250, Project Number TMKH 94-1028A/B in strict accordance with specifications and drawings and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. Alteration Work - The work consists of constructing a new one truck bay addition (31' -8''x85' -8''x28' High) on the west side of the existing station. Add a new mezzanine floor and steel stairs (2) over the existing low "shed" type constructon. Install a new roof (45'-4''x85'-8'') over the new truck bay and mezzanine. Alteration shall include adding a new 10'-8''x24'-8''x11' high addition adjacent to the existing garage. This addition will be used as a Storage Room for the Reserves. Repair Work - Renovate the existing Bunk room, existing rooms under the new mezzanine. Repair shall consist of converting the existing Exercise room and a portion of the existing Dining Area into Reserve Offices and Storage. The Dining Room shall only be renovated to include a TV cabinet and revise the existing Entry. Additive consists of the replacement ofd the existing overhead doors in the existing Engine Room, Wash Bay, and Crash Vehicle Bay and shall be considered as Repair Work. Magnitude of project is between $150,000 and $500,000. The contract performance period for this project is 252 calendar days Notice to Proceed. This proposed acquisition is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB). Interested SDB firms need to submit their interest no later than 20 Jan 94 and provide evidence of eligibility. If adequate interest is not received from SDB firms, the folicitation will be issued unrestricted; therefore, replies are requested from all business concerns. SDB eligibility evidence to include performance references, previous similar projects completed, and positive statement of eligibility as a socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, along with bonding capability. All responsible sources may submit a bid/proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. Only written requests for the Invitation for Bid packages will be acknowledged. (004)
