The work includes: Repair of existing 280,000 gallon concrete swimming pool drain piping. Existing cast iron drain piping must be removed and replaced with welded stainless steel piping. Existing 12'' thick reinforced concrete must be cut and patched to access existing piping and reinstall new. Minor fabrication work to construct two new stainless steel rain boxes shall also be required. Painting the pool is also included. Estimated construction cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Item 10, bid opening date, is an approximate date only. The proposed acquisition listed herein is being considered for 100% Set-Aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify this office in writing, Attn: Code 360R of their intention to bid the project as prime contractor as early as possible, but not later than 17 January 1995. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received for SDB concerns, the Solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis and another notice will be issued indicating set-aside decision.
